JULIAN L. SEGOVIA ALCÁZAR

Born and raised in Maryland by a Peruvian-Salvadoran family, Julian L. Segovia Alcázar was immersed in the arts from an early age. His creative journey began with the violin, performing in numerous youth and semi-professional orchestras throughout the DMV and Annapolis.

A pivotal decision to leave the United States during his university years sparked a deep passion for photography. While studying and traveling across Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, Julian cultivated a global perspective that continues to shape his visual storytelling today.

Drawing inspiration from his bicultural heritage and international experiences, Julian’s work reflects a nuanced lens on identity, memory, and belonging. He currently divides his time between the DMV area, New York City, and San Salvador—always in pursuit of stories that resonate across borders.

Julian has future aspirations of working in editorial and documentary photography, with the goal of capturing compelling narratives that challenge, connect, and inspire.
